TOP FASHION TRENDS TO EXPECT IN 2021

After being under quarantine for basically almost an entire year -- everyone is just about ready to show off their best fits. Sure, many took it to TikTok to show off their favorite 2020 outfits but it just wasn't hitting the same. I don't know about all of you, but I wanted to go out in my best fits for brunch, the beach, day parties, to another city, etc. Outdoors is opening back up now, meaning we can expect to see everyone in their fire fits. If there's something we've learned about fashion trends is that they can be unisex. With that being said, some of the most popular trends in 2021 can be seen styled by both men and women.

Oversized Outerwear

Let's be real. Fitted outerwear is no longer a thing. We all love that oversized look. An oversized jacket to complete an outfit speaks volumes. Whether it's an oversized denim look, windbreaker, a utility jacket, oversized puffer, you name it. Plus, the ladies have an option for oversized cropped jackets. You can check out this jacket on Asos here.

Pastel

Yes, every Spring/Summer we see the return of pastel colors but this time around pastel has been making slight appearances over the Winter. We can expect to see the guys rocking some pastel t-shirts while we see the ladies rocking some pastel matching sets. You can cop this pastel tee, also on Asos here.

Slides

Comfort is everything. This year, slides aren't just being seen on people who are running errands. People are wearing them out to the mall, to eat, while staying low and hanging with the crew. I mean, even Kanye West designed his own pair of Yeezy slides. Both the ladies and gents have been seen rocking the Yeezy slides just about around anywhere around LA. While you can't cop these at its regular retail price, you can cop at a resell price on sites such as StockX.

Black Face Masks

Realistically speaking, Covid-19 is still present. So, in the meanwhile, black face masks ain't going anywhere. Let's face it. If you're not a fan of the the disposable surgical masks, then choose from a cloth one or a neck gaiters.

Leather

Has leather ever not been 'in' though? Having a leather jacket in your closet is a staple. However, there have been years where the women dominate leather looks. This year though, we can expect to see more fellas rocking some leather jackets. For the ladies, it seems like leather pants, skirts, blazers are here to stay in 2021. This jacket can be found at Zara -- and ladies, Zara also carries some bomb leather jackets for us.

WFH Outfits

This trend might be the only good thing that came from the worldwide pandemic thanks to Covid-19. Work from home outfits are the most comfiest go-to fits we can all rely on. If you're planning for a chill, low-key day indoors or haven a day full of errands to run, then don't stress on your outfit. Loungewear ain't going anywhere. This Adidas men's lounge set can be found on Asos -- ladies, check out the loungewear for us on here too!

Bomber Jackets

The return of the bomber jacket. A bomber jacket is a classic piece that may never go out of style. Another staple in your closet, is what I'd say. This year's SS21 fashion shows took the bomber jacket and took more takes on it than you'd expect to see. Gucci, Philipp Plein, Prada, and Hermès all showcased a variety of bomber jacket styles. From the 1970s style cropped bomber jackets in nylon, to high-shine flight jackets, and the cropped minimalist bombers. This minimalist, black bomber can be copped at Nordstrom.
